Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)
Savior or End of Humanity?
I fear that AI may replace humans altogether. If people design computer viruses, someone will design AI that improves and replicates itself.

Why Is This Relevant To The Nuclear Weapons Threat?
Russia has recently developed a drone submarine that carries a nuclear-tipped torpedo.
The nuclear powered drone also expels radioactive waste as it travels, purposefully "dirtying" the water on the way to its target.
The United States and
China have recently developed drone submarines that are autonomously piloted (presumably by A.I.). It is unclear if these drones carry nuclear warheads, but to say they are capable of such is no long stretch of the imagination...

We don't believe it's a coincidence that shortly after corporations became involved in helping the U.S. Military further A.I. technology - the U.S. Government began employing autonomously piloted drone submarines! Asking corporations to become involved in furthering military infrastructure ultimately leads to governments developing more destructive weaponry.

Algorithmic Warfare Cross-Functional Team
The AWCFT was established by the Secretary of Defense. The AWCFT's mission is to integrate Artificial Intelligence and machine learning into the Department of Defense. This is accomplished with help, in part by Google and other tech giants.
Google's involvement in Project Maven thus far has been to develop AI that analyzes 24 hours of drone footage in a fraction of the time, looking for targets of military interest.
